About us:

The NJ Middlesex Vikings are a non-profit minor league football organization composed of young men guided in their efforts to foster a sense of community and brotherhood while promoting the game of football globally amongst all ages and cultures.

The Vikings recognize that the fans are our most important asset and pledge their unwavering commitment to continuously provide them the very best in minor league athletic competition.

There can be no greater legacy for this organization than the creation of opportunities for young people to grow, mature and become better citizens of this great country through participation in athletic competition.

As a Viking you are expected to participate in games that are public events and therefore; at all times respect our surroundings. We will compete at the highest level while striving to enhance ourselves and at the same time promote and support the Big North East Football Federation.

The New Jersey Middlesex Vikings were founded in 2008. The majority of our players were a part of another Minor League Football Team in 2007. The development of this team will be based on accountability and diligence starting from coaches and front office officials to the players.

We are devoted to serving our community while encouraging brotherhood and sportmanship among our players as well as opponents on and off the playing field. One yard at a time, one game at a time, & one CHAMPIONSHIP at a time!!

Viking History (The Inauguration) 4-4-2 (0-1):

The first NJ Middlesex Viking game took place in Old Bridge, NJ vesus the New Jersey Lions of the RAFL. (Pictured Below)  This was a scrimmage which ended in a tie and began the journey of the Vikings.

9/7/08 - (GARDEN STATE BOWL #1) NJ Middlesex Vikings vs the New Jersey Cynder.  The Vikings came out prepared and looking for an identity. Vikings entered the 4th Quarter down 8 to 6 in a strong defensive game from both squads.  Late in the 4th quarter, a muffed punt turns into disaster which hands the Cynder the ball on the Viking 2 yard line.  The rest was history.  Final Score:  Cynder 14  Vikings 6

9/13/08 - The first *HOME* game of the 2008 was versus the New York Spartans who later became the 2008 BNEFF Runner-ups.  This game took place the Bronx of NY at the Spartans home field; however, the Vikings were the designated home team.  This game was one the ages which went back and forth only to end with a double reverse bomb with 21 seconds left in the 4th Quarter that handed the Vikings their second defeat of the year.  Final Score: NY Spartans 28  Middlesex Vikings 22

10/12/08 - The Vikings made history by recording their 1st Win and 1st Defensive Shut Out in the 2008 inaugural season in Game 6 versus the South Philly Ravens in Montclair, NJ.  The final score was 6 - 2. The 2 points allowed was in result of a strategic saftey at the end of the game to ensure the victory.

10/26/08 - Not long after, the Vikings did it again in Game 8 with a 21 - 0 Shut Out of the BNEFF's 2007 Runner-up, the New York State Broncos.

11/9/08 - Vikings entered this week holding a 5 week period without a loss (3-0-2). This may of been the strongest game the Vikings played all year.  The Giants entered the game undefeated and the Vikings took the game to the wire.  The game ended with a controversial Viking fumble on the Giants' 3 yard line with 48 seconds left in 4th Quarter. The Giants knelt their way to saftey with a final score of 15 to 8.  The NW Philly Giants ended the 2008 season 12 - 0 as the BNEFF Champions and ranked 9th in the National Football Events Coaches Poll for the North East and 47th in the Minor League Football News National Rankings (Summer/Fall League).  *See Polls on the News Section*

11/30/08 - The Vikings concluded the 2008 Inaugural season with a playoff birth.  The Wild Card game ended in defeat with a final score of 8 - 6 versus the Divisional Rival, Tacony Eagles.  A late game double reverse doomed the Viking Journey of 2008; only to begin another.

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!  In the 2008 inaugural season, the NJ Middlesex Vikings Defense allowed 15 points or less in 8 of the 11 games played. In 6 of those 8 games the defense only conceeded 8 points or less.  The most points allowed in a single game was in the shoot-out between the NY Spartans which ended 28 - 22.
